Further, uraged the men he has asked the forces to handle all pressure situations with due calmness. The Odisha Fire Service has mobilized 01 hydraulic platform, 08 motor Fire Engines, 8 water tanker ot 15000 capacity. 1 quick response units with mist tacility. 01 rescue tender, 01 crane, 03 ambulanoe, 10 Fire pumps for dewatering. 05 power boats, 05 under water diving suits for etective fire protection and rescue duty during ensuing Car Festival and Retum Car Festival. The FS personnel deployed for the purpose shall be positioned in different strategic locations and adequately equipped with.
Firefighting units shall be positioned near Lions Gate w.e.. 30.06.2022 which will further follow Chariots till Gundicha temple. Besides, the same units shall be deployed during the Return Car Festival followed by Sunabesha & Niladri Bije. Dedicated Fire fighting teams with portable fire exting uishers shall be positioned inside Shree Mandir and Gundicha mandir we.f. 30.06.2022 to 10.07.2022 3 Dedicated Fire ignting tearms equipped with portable Fire extunguishers shall be engaged to effect fire protection at 03 chariots during the Car Festival &Return Car Festival as well. One dedicated first responder team equipped with extinguisher shall be positioned at ViP encosure near Lions Gate till departure of chaiots from Lions Gate.
One dedicated fire fighting unit equpped with a fire tender & portable extinguisher shall be positioned near O8 Van. Dedicated water supply to the fire fightng unt shal be provided from he WATCO pumping staton near Dolabed. The unit shal also cater water supply to the nearby sprinking units located before Dudhwala Dharmasala and sprinkling units deployed inside the cordon area near Lions Gate Vulnerable places like Puri Railway Station, Puri bus stand, Temporary bus stand of Talabania, Malatipatpur bus stand shall be rendered with effective fire protection. Dedicated Fire fighting teams shall be positioned at these vulnerable areas to avert any eventualities at the shortest response time. 02 Fire Fighting Units equipped with adequate manpower and extinguisher shall be positioned at Palshree Mela area tor Fire Protection. 05 dedicated rescue teams shall be positioned at five ditferent vulnerable holy tanks such as Narendratank, Swetaganga tank, Parbati Sagar tank Markandeya tank & Indradumna tank where a large number of devotees are expected to take holy bath.
The teams will be equipped with power boats diving equipment and other floating aids. In order to prevent sunstroke and dehydration issues, Odisha Fire Service also extending its service to sprinkle water on the pigrims during the Car Festival and Retum Car Festival. 15 Quick Response Units and 08 water tankers shal be utilized for efective mitigation. To prevent accidental drowning in Pun Sea beach 03 dedicated teams comprising of 49 Fire Service Personnel, 90 regular lte guards shal be ositioned at different places of sea beach. Distict administration of Puri have facilitated and attached 300 volunteer life guards with the Fire service rescue teams at the beach.
To prevent water lo9ging in case of heavy downpour, Fire Service dewatering eams are kept in complete readiness with 10 Fire Pumps and adequate man power for the purpose. The dewatering teams shall be mobilized to different low line areas in consuiltation with District Administration. A dedicated Rescue team equipped with special equipment and Rescue tender shal be kept standby at Pun fire staton to meet any eventualibess. epo equpped with curting gears shall be positioned near Pipili bypass and Konark marine dive to respand any unforeseen situations. All 12 Fire Stations of Puri district shall be kept on high alert to respond any emergency during the Car Festival and Retum Car Festival.
