Bhubaneswar,28/6( pratyushanews) : Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) held a meeting with its Eastern Regional Council members form all the 5 States of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Odisha and Shri Sampad Chandra Swain, Hon’ble Minister, Department of Industries, Skill Development and Technical Education, Government of Odisha at Bhubaneswar on 28 June 2024. While speaking in the occasion, the Hon’ble Minster expressed confidence over industry prospects and new investments in the state saying, “State Government is planning to complete various industrial corridor projects in places like Rourkela, Sambalpur, Dhamra and Paradeep by 2027”. Theother discussions with the Council Members of CII were like how to enhance startup ecosystem of the state, bringing in new investments, strengthening of the MSME ecosystem, enhancing logistics support, etc. He also suggested that skill development being one of the critical ingredientfor the industry, CII can partner with the Government for strengthening Skill Development Mission of the State. “We will work together to make Odisha more prosperous and industrially developed state” he said. He also said “Government is also planning to bring more investment to Odisha. Utkal Investors Summit is also planned. You will know more about it when Government release its 100 days plan”.
