Bhubaneswar, 25.02.24 ( Pratyusha Bureau ) :Unifeeder Group has launched Export and Import (EXIM) services from Paradip Port, which is a significant development for the state of Orissa. This move aims to bring down logistics expenses for customers and enhance trade connectivity in the region. The launch of these services will enable smoother movement of goods, both for imports and exports. The M/V.SSL Thamirabarani voy : 026, a coastal run vessel, sailed from Paradip Port on 24/02/2024 with 17 TEUs of EXIM containers of Jindal Stainless Ltd, along with other coastal containers. This development is particularly important for Orissa State, which is rich in minerals. With the opening of these EXIM services, the state has added advantage to serve its customers for both coastal and international cargo, thereby reducing overall logistics costs. The initiative is part of an effort to make Paradip Port more vibrant and self-sufficient. Previously, exporters and importers in the region had to rely on Visakhapatnam and Kolkata Ports for transporting their cargo, which was expensive. With Unifeeder’s services, Paradip Port can better serve its customers by connecting them to overseas destinations.
