IMI Bhubaneswar hosted its 11th Annual Convocation grand success.

BHUBANESWAR, 24/02 ( pratyushanews ) The International Management Institute, Bhubaneswar proudly hosted its 11th Annual Convocation Ceremony to confer Post Graduate Diploma to the graduating students of PGDM 2021-23 batch. Dr. Santrupt Misra, Former Group HR, Birla Carbon; Director Chemicals, and Director Group HR, Aditya Birla Group graced the event as Chief Guest. Mr.V.C. Agrawal, Advisor (HR), RPSG and Dr. Himadri Das, Director General, conferred the diplomas to the graduating students. The convocation ceremony commenced with the light lamping ceremony by the Chief Guest, Director, and other guests. At the outset, Prof Ramesh Behl, Director IMI Bhubaneswar, delivered the welcome address and presented the annual academic report. He extended a warm and hearty welcome to graduating students and their parents. Prof. Behl highlighted the achievements of the institute in terms of NIRF rank 67th; international accreditation by Association of MBAS (AMBA); and accreditation by NAAC. He appreciated the efforts of faculty towards research and publications as the institute published 48+ research papers, 2 Books and 22 Book Chapters in last academic year as a joint effort. Prof. ehl congratulated students on achieving their desired placements as a joint effort and also expressed his gratitude to companies who came forward and had faith in the institute. He highlighted the adoption of Let’s Drive E-Vehicles, as a step towards green initiatives. It was followed by the address of Mr. V.C. Agrawal, where he highlighted the importance of IQ, EQ, and SQ in an individual’s life which helps them in excelling in their careers. The Chief Guest Dr. Santrupt Misra presented gold medal to Ms. Masooma Shamim and silver medal to Ms. Laxmi Sarawgi, and Prof. Ramesh Behl presented the SIP Project Awards to Ms. Kanika Bhattacharyya, Ms. Pratyusha Mishra and Ms. Ananya Agarwal, students of PGDM 2021-23 batch. Dr Santrupt Misra also awarded “Dr. Rama Prasad Goenka Best Student Medal” to Ms. Charitrika Rajpal and the “Director’s Medal for Overall Contribution” to Mr.Rounak Kar. He delivered the Convocation Address and congratulated the passing out PGDM batch. On a last note he highlighted that the purpose of education is not to receive degree and placements, but it is to continuously rediscover yourselves and to build a curious and questioning mind. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Bindu Chabbra to the graduating students, their parents, media, faculty, guests and the administration, who all made this event a success via their constant support and presence.
