MALABAR GROUP LAUNCHES “HUNGER FREE WORLD” INITIATIVE TO COMBAT HUNGER AND MALNUTRITION.

Bhubaneswar, 28.05.23 ( Pratyusha Bureau ):28th May 2023 – Malabar Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) department proudly announces the launch of its new initiative, “Hunger Free World,” dedicated to addressing the pressing issue of hunger and malnutrition among street dwellers. Aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 2 of achieving Zero Hunger by 2030, this project marks a significant step towards ensuring access to nutritious meals for underprivileged communities. Implemented across 29 locations in India, the Hunger Free World initiative seeks to provide wholesome and nourishing meals to street dwellers and marginalized individuals. An estimated of 1,600,000 food packets had been distributed to 23200+ regular recipients. The distribution is expected to reach 30,000 regular recipients by the end of this year. Through this program, Malabar Group reaffirms its commitment to giving back to society and facilitating access to basic necessities for all. The official launch of the “BHUBANESWAR” project took place today in a momentous ceremony held in Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Saheed Nagar, and Bhubaneswar. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, i.e Ms. Sulochana Das, Mayor, BMC, Mr. Ananta Narayan Jena, MLA, Bhubaneswar Central, Ms. Manjulata Kanhar, Dy. Mayor, BMC and Mr. Rajkishore Das, Corporator. Their presence highlights the collective resolve to address the critical issues of hunger and malnutrition in our society.
