NABARD Odisha Regional Office Celebrates National Handloom Day2025 with Exhibition-Cum-Sale of Handloom Products.

Bhubaneswar, 07 August 2025( pratyusha Bureau) : NABARD, Odisha Regional Office proudly celebrates National Handloom Day 2025by organizing a vibrant Exhibition-Cum-Sale of Handloom Products from 7th – 9thAugust 2025 in its premises in Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar to commemorate theSwadeshi Movement in India.The event was inaugurated by Shri Sanjay Kumar Talukdar, Chief General Manager,NABARD, along with senior officers of the Odisha Regional Office. The exhibitionshowcases a rich collection of handloom products crafted by NABARD-supportedweavers from across Odisha.Visitors can explore and purchase a wide variety of exquisite handloom itemsincluding sarees, stoles, shirts, kurta suits, and fabrics made from traditional weavessuch as Tussar Silk, Nuapatna Silk, Bomkai, Sambalpuri Ikkat, and Khandua-allavailable at reasonable prices.The initiative aims to empower and encourage local handloom weavers by providingthem with a direct marketing platform, promote authentic and traditional handloomproducts among the public and enable people to celebrate upcoming festivalswith handwoven elegance and cultural pride.NABARD remains committed to supporting rural artisans and preserving India’s richhandloom heritage through such initiatives.
