Bhubaneswar, 19/04 (Pratyusha Bureau): Observation of Fire Service week-2022 , a ceremonial parade was held at Odisha Fire and Disaster Response Academy, Baramunda, Bhubaneswar. Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra, Hon’ble Minister State Home attended the same as “Chief Guest”. Among others D.G of Police, Fire Services, Odisha, Shri Arun Kumar Ray, IPS, Addl. D.G of Police Fire Services, Dr. Soumya Mishra, IPS, IG of Police, Fire Service, Shri Shefeen Ahamed K. IPS, Chief Fire Officer ( SAG), Shri Maheswar Swain and other senior officers were also present during the occasion.
The Chief Guest was complimented with General Salute. He gave away awards to
the officers & men who were adjudged best for the year 2022. Besides the officers & men who secured 1st, 2nd & 3rd position in the professional duty meet were also felicitated by the Chief Guest. Besides 3 retired officers of Odisha Fire Service who have devoted their post retirement time in service of the people were also felicitated by the Chief Guest. DG Fire Services in his deliberation focused on the achievements of Odisha Fire Service during the last years. He informed that Odisha Fire Service has been adjudged as the best Fire Services in the country & he is confident that Odisha Fire Service will continue to deliver such dedicated service in the coming years. The Parade was commanded by Asst. Fire Officer Sri Poran Soren 06 Contingents
participated in the parade including two contingents of NFSC sponsored trainees.
At last the Fire Service personnel show cased a demonstration programme on Fire
fighting & rescue which as applauded & appreciated by both press & public.
