Bhubaneswar : 19 May 2026 ( pratyusha Bureau )PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 successfully conducted a 15-day AI and Animation Workshop under the PM SHRI Scheme from 4th May to 18th May 2026, providing students with an enriching exposure to Artificial Intelligence, digital creativity, and modern technological skills. More than 300 students enthusiastically participated in the summer camp and benefited from this innovative educational initiative of the Government of India.The workshop was designed as a highly informative, creative, and skill-oriented programme aimed at introducing students to the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence, animation, digital designing, prompt engineering, poster creation, e-book publishing, and video editing. By combining creativity with technology, the programme offered valuable hands-on learning experiences that enhanced students\u2019 technical knowledge, communication skills, and innovative thinking.The workshop began with an interactive session in which students shared their expectations and learning goals. On the second day, an open-book \u201cPrevious Knowledge Test\u201d was organised to assess students\u2019 understanding of AI and digital media concepts. Questions related to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, QR codes, prompts, animation, image resolution, and ChatGPT generated great enthusiasm among the participants. Prizes were awarded to encourage active participation and confidence among students.One of the key highlights of the workshop was the practical training on AI prompting techniques. Students learned the RTF (Role\u2013Task\u2013Format) prompting method and the COSTAR framework consisting of Context, Objective, Style, Tone, Audience, and Response. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sessions on zero-shot, one-shot, and few-shot prompting enabled students to interact more effectively with advanced AI platforms such as OpenAI ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Anthropic Claude.Special emphasis was given to educational poster making, chart designing, and certificate creation. Students learned to design professional course completion certificates by adding logos, photographs, QR codes, certificate numbers, bilingual text, and digital signatures. They also created permanent QR codes linked to Google Drive folders containing their project works. Educational charts and posters on science, environment, space research, Artificial Intelligence, and general awareness were creatively prepared by students and displayed in school corridors and classrooms.To promote creativity and teamwork, the Vidyalaya organised Educational Chart Designing and Poster Making Competitions during the workshop. Students from different classes participated enthusiastically, and the best entries were awarded prizes and selected for school display.The workshop also introduced students to e-book creation and publishing techniques. Participants learned PDF-to-image conversion, layout designing, index preparation, and flipbook creation using digital tools. Creative writing sessions, poem writing, and AI-assisted educational content generation activities further enriched the programme.In the final phase of the workshop, students received practical training in video editing and animation using Adobe Premiere Pro. They learned software installation, workspace management, timeline editing, media importing, green-screen editing, transitions, sound effects, text animation, graphics insertion, and background editing. Students successfully created several creative and educational video projects during these sessions.The workshop concluded with project evaluations, chart exhibitions, group photographs, certificate distribution, and prize-giving ceremonies. Students expressed heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for organising such a meaningful and future-oriented programme.Aditya Kumar Panda, Principal of the Vidyalaya, encouraged students to use Artificial Intelligence responsibly for educational and creative purposes. Bhupendra Singh highlighted the importance of ethical and responsible use of AI technologies. The workshop was successfully guided by Rabindra Kumar Dubey, Reena Panda, Jyotshnarani Bisoyi, Manas Ranjan Satpathy, and Prafulla Kumar Sahoo.Parents also appreciated the initiative and motivated students to participate actively in large numbers. Refreshments were provided to all participants, and students were delighted after receiving prizes and certificates at the closing ceremony.The AI and Animation Workshop at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 proved to be a remarkable educational initiative that successfully inspired young learners to explore Artificial Intelligence and digital technology creatively, responsibly, and effectively for academics and future careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
