Bhubaneswar, 30\/05 (Pratyusha Bureau):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 62nd Odisha state Swimming Championship\u201922 ( Junior & Sub-junior) organised jointly by the Odisha State Swimming Association and department of sports & youth services, government of Odisha, at the Biju Patnaik Swimming Pool, Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar was concluded today morning, the 30th of May,2022. This year a record numbers of 258 swimmers participated in the tournament that was streaming live in the YouTube channel of sports Odisha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Mannata Mishra was declared as the \u2018best swimmer\u2019of the championship  with 2134 FINA points in the Girls category and Anmol Mohanty with 2078 points was the \u2018best swimmer\u2019 in the boys category. The other individual champions  in their respective categories were :<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n

During the 3 day tournament, Hon\u2019able sports Minister, Shri Tusharkanti Behera, Commissioner Cum Secretary, Sports & Youth Services were the guests on the 1st day, Olympian Padmashree Dilip Tirki was the chief guest on the 2nd day. In the concluding day the swimmers were awarded the medals and Trophies by Mrs. Soma Mishra, Mrs. Golapmani Mahanta, Shri Bijay Kumar Dixit, Shri Surendra Kumar Naik, Shri Amar Ranjan Mahanty, Shri Lakshmi Chandra Mahakur, Shri Rabindra Kumar Rout, Shri Manoj Banchhor, Mrs. Lipsa Rout. JSW, Odisha provided the technical support to the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The eligible swimmers shall represent Odisha at the National Aquatic Championship\u201922 to be held at Rajkot ( Sub-junior) from 24th to 26th June \u201822 and Junior National at Bhubaneswar from 16-20th July\u201922.
The office bearers of the Association have congratulated the medal winners and all the participants. The Association also express sincere thanks and gratitude to the government of Odisha for support and sponsorship of the championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
